- CJC-1295 without DAC
- Also called modified GRF (1–29). It reproduces the first 29 residues of growth hormone-releasing hormone with four substitutions — D-Ala², Gln⁸, Ala¹⁵ and Leu²⁷ — introduced to improve its stability. Unlike CJC-1295 with DAC, it carries no drug affinity complex and does not bind albumin.
- Ipamorelin
- A synthetic pentapeptide first described in 1998 as a selective agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a), the receptor for ghrelin.
- Why they are paired
- The two act at different receptors — the GHRH receptor and the ghrelin receptor — that converge on the same signaling pathway, so they are often studied together. Neither is an approved drug.
